What it was
You Are Minecraft ran on CraftBukkit 1.2.5 in 2012. Everyone who joined got a plot along the street and built a giant statue of their own skin, block by block. Plot after plot, the streets filled up with blocky giants, one for each player who ever logged in.
Walking around
- Drag to look around, scroll or pinch to zoom.
- Use the menu to switch between perspective, flat and free-flight views.
- The world is huge. Tiles load as you move, so give it a moment on a slow connection.
How this map was made
The original world was converted to a modern format with Chunker and rendered with BlueMap, using a resource pack that puts the 1.2.5 textures back on every block so it looks the way it did in 2012. The scripts and steps are in the GitHub repo.
